Padel Turf Specification Deep Dive
Padel-specific artificial turf is the most under-specified component in low-quality padel installations — and the difference between a great court and an unplayable one. FIP-spec padel turf has:
- Pile height 12 mm. Shorter than football turf (40 to 60 mm) to control ball roll and bounce predictability.
- Pile colour deep green. Mimics the traditional Spanish padel courts; orange and blue alternatives are available for branding.
- Monofilament fibre. Smooth ball release without fibre matting.

Glass Engineering and Safety
Padel glass is the most spectacular element of the court and the most safety-critical. We use only FIP-spec 10 mm or 12 mm tempered glass with the following safety features:

The net is 0.88m at centre. Unlike tennis, the walls are part of the playing surface — shots can be played off them. The PCC slab needs to be 22m × 12m (extends 1m beyond the enclosure on all sides).
A single outdoor padel court costs Rs 25-35 lakhs turnkey — including PCC base, steel frame, tempered glass, mesh walls, artificial turf, lighting, and net. 12mm tempered (toughened) safety glass — Saint Gobain branded — meeting EN 12150 standards. If a panel breaks (extremely rare during normal play), it shatters into small, blunt pieces rather than sharp shards. The glass is treated for UV resistance and Indian heat conditions.
