Most Institutions Have Space for One Court. Not Five.

A single-sport court serves one group at a time. A well-engineered multi-sport court serves five — using the same footprint. It is not a compromise; it is smart layout design backed by surface science.

A standard basketball court is 4,600 sqft. Add colour-coded line markings for two badminton courts, a volleyball court, and a futsal zone — and a 5,000 sqft multi-sport court serves every group in your institution without anyone waiting. Schools serving 5 PE sports. Housing societies keeping teens, adults, and kids all active. Corporates offering variety without requiring a sports complex budget.

How We Design and Build Your Multi-Sport Court

Layout-first thinking — so every sport gets the space it deserves.

Sport Priorities & Space Sharing

We start by understanding which sports matter most, which age groups will use the court, and peak usage hours. This determines which sport gets the primary layout.

Custom Layout Design

We provide 2-3 layout options maximising the number of sports without compromising any single sport's playability. Simultaneous-use zoning is mapped out at this stage.

Base Preparation

Sub-base and PCC layer prepared to CPWD specs. Floor sockets for net posts and goal systems are set in concrete at this stage — retrofitting is costly.

Surface & Multi-Sport Line Marking

PP tile laying or acrylic coating completed. Each sport's lines marked in its dedicated colour using non-conflicting, regulation widths. Equipment installed.

Quality Handover

Walk-through covering each sport's layout. Equipment operation demonstrated. Warranty documents and maintenance guide issued. Standard facility: 15-25 days.

Multi-Sport Court FAQ

Everything you need to know before starting your court project.

Not if the line marking is done correctly. We assign each sport a distinct, high-contrast colour and use standardised line widths. Players quickly learn to follow their colour. We have built multi-sport courts across India and line confusion has never been a reported issue.

Yes, if the layout is designed for it. We can zone the court so that badminton is played at one end while basketball occupies the other half. This requires careful layout engineering at the design stage — it is not something that can be added later.

3,000 sqft (roughly 30m × 10m) fits a basketball half-court and one badminton court — useful, but limited. For a genuinely versatile facility accommodating three or more sports, we recommend 4,500 sqft minimum. Share your available dimensions and we will tell you what is possible.

PP interlocking tiles are our top recommendation for outdoor multi-sport. They perform well across all common sports, drain instantly after rain, and the line markings are built into the tile design — they never fade or need repainting. For covered indoor facilities, acrylic is a cost-effective option. For premium projects with high budgets, EPDM delivers the best performance across all sports.

Badminton, volleyball, and tennis all require different net heights. We install adjustable multi-sport net post systems or dedicated flush-mounted floor sockets for each sport. Posts can be swapped in under 5 minutes and sockets are flush with the surface when not in use — no trip hazard.

There is always a slight trade-off versus a dedicated single-sport surface — a dedicated badminton PVC court gives better slide-and-grip characteristics than PP tiles. But for 90% of recreational and school-level play, a multi-sport surface is more than adequate, and the cost-per-sport saving is significant. High-performance academies focusing on a single sport are better served by a dedicated surface.
