Every Colony Wants Cricket. No Colony Has the Space.

Box cricket solves the space problem. An enclosed arena — typically 60ft × 30ft or as compact as 40ft × 20ft — with netting walls, artificial turf, and proper lighting. No balls going over the boundary into traffic. No arguments about LBW. Just fast, safe, all-weather cricket that works in any urban plot.

We build the entire setup: PCC base, synthetic turf, steel fabrication for the enclosure, HDPE netting, LED floodlights, and practice nets. Turnkey — from bare land to first ball.

Pitch Strip

The central batting and bowling strip. In box cricket, the pitch is typically 16-18 yards — shorter than the standard 22-yard cricket pitch to fit within the enclosed arena.

~50ft × 8ft

Crease Markings

Popping crease, bowling crease, and return creases at each end. These define the legal batting and bowling positions. Stumps are set at the bowling crease.

Standard ICC markings

Enclosure / Netting

HDPE cricket netting on a galvanised steel frame, 12-15ft high. Contains the ball within the arena, eliminating boundary disputes and keeping play safe.

60ft × 30ft × 12-15ft

Bowling Run-Up

Space behind each bowling crease for the bowler's approach. In box cricket, run-ups are shorter than in open cricket. Fast bowlers typically get 8-10ft.

~8-10ft

Fielding Zone

The area between the pitch and the enclosure where fielders position themselves. In box cricket, fielding is compressed — reactions are faster and catches happen closer.

~11ft each side

Which Surface for Box Cricket?

Multi-sport box (cricket + other sports)

If your box cricket arena doubles as a basketball or badminton court, PP tiles offer a hard, fast surface. Less realistic bounce for cricket but more versatile.

Box Cricket FAQ

Everything you need to know about building a box cricket arena.

The most popular size is 60ft × 30ft (1,800 sqft) with a 15ft high enclosure. For compact spaces, 40ft × 20ft works well. There is no single governing body standard — dimensions are flexible based on your space and intended use.

Yes, provided the structure can handle the load. We assess structural capacity before proceeding. Rooftop installations skip the PCC base (existing slab is used) which reduces cost by 30-40%. Steel frame is lighter for rooftop use.

From order confirmation: steel fabrication takes 2-3 weeks (off-site). On-site work — base preparation, frame erection, netting, turf — takes 5-10 days for a standard box. Total timeline: 3-4 weeks.

Minimal. Sweep the turf weekly, top up rubber infill annually (we supply), check netting for damage after heavy use. The steel frame needs no maintenance if galvanised. LED lights last 50,000+ hours.

Absolutely. Commercial box cricket venues typically charge Rs 500-1500 per hour. A well-located arena with evening bookings can generate Rs 30,000-60,000 per month, recovering investment in 12-18 months.

Both options. Turnkey includes everything — base, fabrication, turf, netting, lighting, and handover. Supply-only is available if you have your own installation team. We recommend turnkey for first-time projects.
