Not sure which surface is right for your project?

PP Interlocking Tiles

Snap-fit polypropylene tiles that lock together without adhesive. Rs 70/sqft supply. 15+ year lifespan with a 5-year manufacturer warranty. Available in 10 colours.

Best for: Outdoor courts at schools, residential societies, community spaces, and institutional facilities that need a durable, low-maintenance surface with quick installation.

Not ideal for: Competition venues that require a specific, certified ball-bounce coefficient. PP tiles have a slightly softer response underfoot that serious tournament play does not permit.

Acrylic Coating

An 8-layer coating system applied directly on a prepared concrete base. Rs 65/sqft for the coating layer plus Rs 90/sqft for a PCC base if one does not already exist. 5-7 year lifespan before a recoat is needed. Available in 7 colours.

Best for: Competition courts, corporate campuses, and academies where players expect tournament-grade ball response and a professional court feel. Recoating is more economical than full replacement.

Not ideal for: Sites with poor drainage or a structurally compromised base. Acrylic bonds to concrete — if the base cracks, the surface follows. A detailed review of base conditions is essential before recommending this option.

EPDM Rubber Surface

Poured rubber (EPDM granules in polyurethane binder) applied in a seamless layer. Rs 120/sqft. 10+ year lifespan. Custom colours available — the most design-flexible surface of the three.

Best for: Children's play areas, volleyball courts, and multi-use recreational spaces where shock absorption and slip resistance matter more than ball bounce. The softest surface underfoot.

Not ideal for: Basketball. EPDM absorbs too much ball energy — the bounce feels dead, which is frustrating for basketball players. Use acrylic or PP tiles for basketball courts.

What We Actually Recommend

If you are unsure, start with PP tiles. They are the most forgiving surface — easy to install, easy to maintain, and if you change your mind in 15 years, they lift right off. No grinding, no demolition.

Acrylic is the better choice for serious players who want tournament-grade ball response. The surface is harder, the bounce is truer, and the court looks exactly like what you see at professional venues.

EPDM is the safest surface for children but the most expensive of the three. Its shock absorption is unmatched — it was designed for this purpose. If the primary users are young children, the additional cost is justified.

Surface FAQ

Everything you need to know before starting your court project.

PP tiles lift off easily — they are not bonded to the base, so removal is clean and non-destructive. Acrylic requires grinding or an overlay if you want to change. EPDM is permanent once cured. This is the main reason we recommend PP tiles when there is any uncertainty about long-term use.

PP tiles drain fastest — water passes through the gaps between tiles and off the court. Acrylic needs a properly sloped base (1-2%) to shed water; pooling will shorten its lifespan. EPDM is slip-resistant but holds water on the surface longer than PP tiles. All three work in Indian weather when installed correctly.

PP tiles last 15+ years and carry a 5-year manufacturer warranty. EPDM lasts 10-15 years before the binder begins to degrade. Acrylic lasts 5-7 years before recoating is needed — but recoating is significantly cheaper than replacing the base, so total lifetime cost is lower than it appears.

Yes. We have installed acrylic on basketball courts and PP tiles on adjacent badminton courts in the same facility. Different sports have different technical requirements, and mixing surfaces is a practical solution for multi-sport complexes.

We do not install synthetic turf. It is a different product category designed for football, cricket, and grass-sport simulations. For hard courts — basketball, badminton, volleyball, pickleball — PP tiles, acrylic, and EPDM cover every requirement.

EPDM offers the best shock absorption and is the safest surface for falls — designed specifically for children's areas and recreational use. PP tiles provide moderate cushioning through the gap structure between tiles. Acrylic is the hardest of the three; it transfers more impact to joints, so proper footwear matters more on this surface.
